Biographical Sketch - Jan Youtie
Jan Youtie is a principal research associate at Georgia Tech's Economic Development Institute and adjunct associate professor in Georgia Tech's School of Public Policy. She specializes in applied research in economic development, manufacturing modernization, and telecommunications policy areas. She has been a principal investigator in studies sponsored by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Aspen Institute, the Georgia Center for Advanced Telecommunications Technologies, the Georgia Department of Technical and Adult Education, and the Georgia Office of Planning and Budget. Dr. Youtie has been appointed to serve as a member of the National Institute of Standards and Technologys Manufacturing Extension Partnership Ninth Year Review Panel. Recent publications include Telecommunications Strategy for Economic Development (Greenwood Publications), and "Tracking Customer Progress" and "Coordinating Industrial Modernization Services: Impacts and Insights from the U.S. Manufacturing Extension Partnership" (Lang Rosen Gold Award Winners) in the Journal of Technology Transfer.
