Industrial Modernization

An online internet course offered through the School of Public Policy at Georgia Institute of Technology
LATEST COURSE - 1999

This seminar focuses on issues of technology adoption and deployment for small and mid-sized manufacturers and examines the rationale for policy intervention, through industrial extension and similar programs.

We consider program operations and best practices of industrial modernization programs in the United States and other countries and examine methods for evaluating outcomes and results.

Faculty: Philip Shapira, School of Public Policy, Georgia Institute of Technology; Jan Youtie, Georgia Tech Economic Development Institute. 

Technical requirements: internet-connected computer with sound card, speakers/headphones, and RealPlayer.
