Requirements and enrollment

Students are expected to attend physical and telebroadcast classes, replay asynchronous internet modules, participate in real-time and electronic class discussions, plus undertake readings, electronic assignments and a project paper.
Students are required to have access to an Internet-connected computer, with sound card and speakers/headphones, and CD-drive. Asynchronous multi-media modules can be accessed via the Internet (or possibly CD-R) using a web browser with Realplayer plug-in. Reading materials and other documents in the course electronic library can be read via the Internet (or possibly CD-R) using a web browser with Adobe Acrobat Reader plug-in. Software plug-ins (Windows 95, 98 and NT, Apple Macintosh, and other platforms) can be downloaded without charge (see tools). Processor speed: Pentium 90 MHz or better or Apple equivalent. Minimum Internet connect speed (dial-up modem) 28.8 KBPS. Faster connection speeds will result in improved quality and response.
Enrollment
Spring Quarter 1999 students should enroll under course number PUBP 8160A. The class size is capped at 15 students.
